Description
Plymouth Prowler is a rare retro-styled American roadster inspired by 1930s hot rods and produced near the end of the Plymouth brand, making it highly collectible. This example features a custom purple exterior with a Hot Wheels–inspired design created by the first owner, giving it strong show-car character, paired with a black leather interior that keeps a clean, premium look. Built with a lightweight aluminum structure and open front wheels, the Prowler is all about design and presence rather than raw speed, powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine producing around 253 hp and 255 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive.
History
The Plymouth Prowler was introduced in the late 1990s as a bold concept brought to life, designed to revive the spirit of 1930s American hot rods using modern engineering. It was one of the first production cars to use extensive aluminum construction, making it lightweight and advanced for its time. The Prowler became a symbol of creative freedom at Chrysler and was produced in limited numbers until 2002, with the 2001 model year marking one of its final chapters as the Plymouth brand was discontinued, securing the Prowler’s place as a distinctive and collectible piece of automotive history.
